As part of its  Sustainable Future programme, WKT Travel is working with leading suppliers to bring innovative and sustainable product solutions to its customers in the travel sector over the Summer period. Featuring the very latest food packaging and hygiene products in its 16-page Spring/Summer 2024 brochure, WKT Travel is helping operators in the travel sector to deliver excellent service in-light and on-board in the sector’s busiest season.

Featured on page 7, Tray2Go is a fully recyclable packaging solution for sushi, other chilled food-to-go, confectionery and bakery products. Multifunctional and versatile, Tray2Go range features a robust and durable double-wall tray design, coupled with an innovative secure fitting click-lock lid. Made using sustainable materials, the board trays are manufactured in the UK, and made with FSC® certified material, while the lids are made from rPET, from a minimum of 50% recycled mate-rial.

Another excellent food packaging innovation on page 7 is WKT Travel’s exclusive brand Sustain Agri Bag. Made from agricultural waste fibres, the leaves and stems left in a field after crops are harvested, Sustain Agri Bags have a carbon footprint 28% lower than a standard paper bag made from virgin material, are made from renewable sources and are fully recyclable.

Award-winning Notpla ice-cream spoons feature on page 10 – perfect as the weather turns warmer.  These innovative ice-cream spoons are made from ‘Notpla Rigid’, an innovative material made entirely from seaweed and plants. It’s naturally home-compostable – just like a fruit peel, so customers can enjoy their ice cream with the satisfaction of knowing they are helping to protect the planet.

Making great strides in social enterprise, WKT Travel has launched and exclusive brand luxury hand and body care range called RE:MIND.  Featured on page 13, the range is raising the bar through a first of its kind collaboration with Amplify Goods, a certified diverse social enterprise. Amplify Goods will donate at least 50% of their profit from RE:MIND to supporting grass-roots charitable projects. The range launches with a cleansing and uplifting Hand and Body Wash, available in 5L refills, and a nourishing Hand and Body Lotion with soothing shea butter in 1L refill pouches. Both are paired with 500ml glass bottles that are washable and built to last. The reusable bottles are produced and hand-packed in the UK using upcycled cardboard waste from local businesses.

Last but not least, Cleanline® Eco Laundry Leaves are featured on page 15, a sustainable alternative to traditional laundry detergent. Each sheet equates to one dose. Delivering a fantastic clean, Laundry Leaves are up to 90% smaller and lighter than traditional formats, all housed in recyclable, biodegradable and compostable cardboard packaging.

Helping customers achieve their sustainability and social value goals, our market-leading food packaging and hygiene solutions create value for travel operators through market-leading innovation. The 16-page Innovate Spring/Summer brochure collates the very best material and de-sign innovation from 2024, to help travel operators add value to their brand during the Summer season.
