As part of its Sustainable Future programme, WKT Travel works with leading suppliers to bring innovative and sustainable product solutions to its customers in the travel industry via its INNOVATE brand – publishing a brochure twice yearly that features the very best of what’s new in food packaging and hygiene products. The 14-page Autumn/Winter 2024 brochure launches this week, helping travel operators deliver their Winter menus in a practical and appealing way.

Featured on page 3 is WKT Travel’s new Metro Cup ‘Vibe’ design hot cups. An exciting new range of off-the-shelf hot cups in 8, 12 and 16oz sizes, these cups feature an on-cup QR code that directs consumers to their nearest drop-off point for paper cup recycling, via the National Cup Recycling Scheme website. These new single wall and double wall hot cups come to market as operators are boosting their hot drinks menus for the Winter and festive period. What better way to serve the latest hot drink creations than in the new Metro Cup ‘Vibe’ design hot cups!

Continuing the theme of Winter styled drinks, page 12 brings the magic of Christmas to the hospitality sector with Sweetbird ultimate festive syrups in gingerbread, hazelnut and mince pie flavours. Use these versatile syrups to create festive flavoured coffees or add an extra depth to hot chocolates, mochas or frappés. The range has been created using a select number of ingredients, free from artificial colours and GMOs. All are approved by The Vegan Society to be used with dairy alternative milks for vegan friendly options. Other flavours and sugar-free options are also available.

Award winning trays and boxes lined with Notpla Coating feature on page 6 – a special lining made from seaweed that replaces the usual plastic coating on foodservice products. EN13432 certified, Notpla coated trays and boxes are compostable in commercial composting facilities, breaking down into reusable compost in 12 weeks. Unlike other bioplastics, Notpla Coating also degrades in less than 6 weeks in a home composting environment.

Appearing on page 8, kp Infinity® Plus is a deeper range of single use EPP (expanded polypropylene) food packaging that allows for larger hot meals such as fish and chips, and kebabs, to be comfortably served and eaten on-the-go. Fully recyclable, kp Infinity® Plus is not affected by single-use plastic bans, and is fully recyclable. Durable and lightweight compared to Bagasse, kp Infinity® Plus also keeps food piping hot and is microwave safe.

Last but not least, exclusive brand CleanWorks ProClean spill pad handy holder features on page 13, an innovative holder that attaches to a ‘Wet Floor’ A-frame sign and holds 40 x 35cm chemical absorbent pads, helping catering operators safely deals with spills in public settings.

Our market-leading food packaging and hygiene solutions create value for travel operators through market-leading innovation. The 14-page Innovate Autumn/Winter brochure collates the very best material and design innovation from 2024, to help travel operators add value to their brand during the Winter season.
